Aurum Residences, Bantry Bay
FAM transformed the former Ambassador Hotel — a Bantry Bay landmark — into Aurum Residences, a two-building oceanfront development completed in 2018. The original hotel structure was reworked into 15 apartments, from compact 125m² units to a 800m² penthouse. FAM led both the architecture and the interior architecture.

Camissa Boutique Hotel
At the foot of Table Mountain in Oranjezicht, FAM extended and converted a former family home into Camissa House, a boutique hotel of eight suites. A dining atrium anchors the shared spaces. Completed in 2022.

Pitlochry
FAM completed a full renovation of a four-bedroom family home in Camps Bay in 2018, reworking the street elevation and opening the north face to the sea and garden. A solid, closed street elevation to the south contrasts with a glazed north façade that opens onto a large private garden and the sea beyond. A slim cantilevered concrete roof appears to float above the glazing, keeping sightlines through the house from street to garden uninterrupted.

De Kelders
A four-bedroom beach house renovation and addition, reimagined on the rocks—designed for iconic ocean views and world-class whale watching.

Kerzner House 16
A refined four-bedroom home in Kerzner Estate, crafted around forest tranquility and framed ocean vistas. Off-shutter concrete surfaces and expressive timber detailing bring a grounded yet warm materiality to the design.

The Rose Apartments
The Rose on 117 has seized the opportunity to replace a derelict and featureless light industrial building with an edifice that injects an exuberant energy into the streetscape. In addition to enlivening the immediate public realm, the scheme introduces ground level activation through generous glazing, inviting passer bys into the lobby and retail spaces. It also plays an important mediating role between the monolithic glass modernism of 117 on Strand and the ornate façade of the neighbouring nineteenth century heritage building on the corner of Rose and Strand Streets, deftly negotiating scale and materiality to create a cohesive urban dialogue.

Kerzner Estate Housing
A design that recognises the special relationship between the building and its natural setting, with glass and outside terraces maximising the views and northern light. Materials are natural and honest and spatial volume is balanced by intimate spaces.

Bantry Hills
A prestigious seven-storey 65-apartment residential development in Bantry Bay, with extensively landscaped communal space and facilities such as an indoor pool and gym, multi-level basement parking, and roof terraces.
